About Me

The "Bre" part of Breeze Sweets

I love crafting all these sweet treats. I have always been into artsy things, and cake decorating was another fun medium to throw myself into. I started by making my little boy’s first birthday cake and it grew into the passion that it is today!

I truly love being a part of everyone's celebrations and using my artsy skills to make events even more special. It is my hope to brighten people's days and craft sugar into happiness.

Thank you for all your love and support,

-Bre

Marble Surface

FAQs

How should I transport a cake?

Cakes need to travel on a flat surface. I recommend clearing a space in the floor well. They cannot travel on a lap as that is not level.

What kind of payments do you accept?

I accept cash, card, check, or Venmo to Breeze Sweets.

How far in advance can I book with you?

Weddings are welcome to book out more than a year in advance. I accept all other orders up to 3 months in advance.

Where should I keep my dessert?

Cakes need refrigerated until 1-2 hours before your event. Cupcakes, cookies, and cake balls can be stored room-temp out of direct sunlight.

Do you make gluten free/ allergen free desserts?

As an in-home bakery, I am unable to guarantee food items do not cross contaminate and therefore cannot accommodate allergy requests.

Do you offer samples?

I offer $20 sample boxes. Submit an order form to request a sample box!

What do you need to secure my order?

I require payment in full to officially submit an order.

Where are you located?

I am located on Oakdale Dr. in Johnston, IA. The exact address will be given over after submitting an order request.

I was lucky enough to stay home with my kids when they were born. I also enjoyed working evenings part time as a server for a break in the day-to-day routine.

After the restaurant I was working for unexpectedly closed in 2020, I found myself job searching again. Family, friends, and even interviewers insisted I should continue making cakes and as the pandemic made job searching even more difficult, I decided to give it a go.

I had entertained cake decorating mostly as a side hobby, but the requests and support have been abundant and elevated Breeze Sweets to something more. I currently have only part time hours to devote to sweet crafting, but I look forward to how this business will continue to grow in the coming years!
